Hello all,
This tv powers off after a being on for awhile, maybe 45min or longer some days. I'm asking is this a known issue with samsung set.

OOH mine done the same exact thing , I own pn50b550t2fxza I isolated the problem to main board , It was fun until i took it to the local TV repair shop to confirm what i though after i received it it's totally dead now

Sorry to hear that, I've read about the cap problem samsung had and hoping it was that issue.

What i done is i bought the manual and followed it to the T and it was not power supply but i doubted my self and trusted the Local Electronic shop but now i am 10 steps backward ....


Disconnect all your boards except the Main and power supply and time it , You can also test the power output to main

I have the 50 inch version and it did have the cap failure it would run sometimes for an hour and reset, sometimes it would restart from the get go. the cap fixed mine. you could have a heat related problem on something else also, a component getting hot and causing your problem. try heating the area where the cap is and see if it gets better. careful and don't short anything. I can say the cap fixed my set.

Did you check the power supply MOSFETs on the primary side for a bad solder connections?
