Samsung HP-T5054 ysus and buffers

Good morning Guys, hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am wondering if anyone can help me with an issue i am having with the repair of this samsung plasma. The original problem was the same as descibed in other similar post. I checked the ysus found the bank of 88N30w had shorts, 1 Buffer chip had a hole in it and Q5501 shorted. So I ordered a repair kit from shopjimmy and replaced all 8 buffer Ic's, 2-K2837's, 4-RJH3047, 4-88N30W's and 1 B20NK50Z. I put the boards back in, powered the set up and a short time after the problem repeated again now the bank of RJH3047 have a short and another shorted buffer ic. My question is, can a faulty logic control board be responsible for this? Any help would appreciated. Thank you!!!!!

No. What you have experience is another buffer IC going bad and causing the same catastrophic failure that you saw the first time.

Is there a possibility that you might a bridged to buffer IC pins together? It's very easy to do especially replacing the buffers yourself.. this model is known for catastrophic y sustain failure unfortunately there's no safeguard against a buffer IC going bad and shutting down the board into protection without doing damage

I am pretty sure i didn't have any bridged joints i inspected each chip under a microscope before i put them back. Can it be a bad buffer Ic amoung the new ones I got? I have read That it is possible to get fake buffer Ic's. The other thing i should have mention is that when I plug the set in i can hear the startup sound, screen remained dark and within 15sec boards failed.

Is there a place that sells reliable 3407F Ic's?

Yes unfortunately I have run across bad buffer IC's where they only last a very short period of time so that might be your issue.

I have not found a suitable replacement myself. I know some of those Fe IC's are replaceable with a Panasonic equivalent but I don't know about this particular model

Yes I have received bad FE3407's from China. Four out of ten had some of the outputs shorted to ground. I may have mentioned about it in a previous post, can't remember.

Can't help with a substitute part, sorry.
