    Viewsonic N2750W Repair Strategy

Picked up off the street. Noticed pry marks around the snaps. Currently, there isn't any reaction when I hit the power button.

Also noticed someone decided to replace only the 1000uF capacitors with cheap replacements and used the 35V caps for all four. IIRC, there are two which only need 25V.

This person didn't replace every C(r)apXon capacitor.

I plan to do that. I did notice the capacitors have different specs compared to the list of replacements in popular repair kits. I remember seeing a 4.7uF capacitor and two 33uF capacitors.

I vaguely remember seeing "Q11" but don't know if I need to replace that, too. I honesty am not familiar with the Q11 part.

I see the two 33uF capacitors are also attached to a ... daughterboard? Backplane? Backplate? I'm not familiar with this board, either.

I will test the individual transformers, too. What else should I test and examine?

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
    by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...

ViewSonic Pf815 (branded as P225f) Horizontal Deflection Issues - Running out of Ideas
    by rstrube
Note: apologies I initially posted this request for help in the wrong forum! I am reposting it here and will take down the original posting.

    Hi Everyone,

I've been working on repairing this beautiful CRT monitor off and on for the past several months and I'm really at a loss for what might be causing the problem.

Unlike other common Horizontal Deflection issues which result in a steady vertical line, when I turn the monitor on, there is a pulsing (somewhat segmented) vertical line. I've attached a photo that shows the issue (difficult to capture without video)....

The monitor itself is branded as a P225f, but it turns out that it's actually a Pf815 that has an Add-On smallish PCB that expands it to support...
