    Lg 50pg20

    I got this LG 50PG20 from someone who said, it did work then just shut off. Claimed to have taken it in and was told it had a bad board, don't know which one. I cannot verify if this unit has pic or sound. There is power, frt led lights red>3 blue flashes>solid red (standby I guess), responds to remote. There is no click of any relays when powered and nothing gets hot. Not sure if I am doing it right, but don't get much of any readings from VS or VA anywhere, no fuses are blown. Pulled upper and lower buffers and nothing changed on the screen. need advise on proper testing on/off & placement of probes

    Any help appreciated,

          Well after further review, my brother and I found 4 transistors(Trans) have been replaced on the bottom right heat sink(HS) which appear to be bad and the top trans on the left HS(is bad), bottom Trans on the next HS, & top and bottom Trans on middle HS have been replaced.
          I ordered the ShopJimmy repair kit before we found the add'l 4 bad Trans.
          It appears that this thing was repaired at least once before from the signs of the heat transfer paste, the repair kit will not cover all bad components.
          What do the 4 replaced Trans control?
          I'm thinking of buying a new board (EAY41360901) from Sears for $135.00 W/10% off as there is too much to replace and all should be good.

              ShopJimmy won't take the kit back, the package hasn't even been opened I feel that they should due to this. I could understand if it was opened.
              So be sure when you order things from them. I offered them the old board for stock for free, but they wouldn't take it.
              Anybody need a repair kit for cheap?

                  Hello, you are not alone. Any luck? I just got one of these broken TV's yesterday.

                  2 questions, 1) How did you determine that the other 4 transistors needed replacing? 2) I see the ShopJimmy kit comes with 4 transistors now, did your's not come with that?

                      The kit comes with quite a lot. If I did it right, both sides go OL on the meter

                          I'm new to this so I hope I'm doing it right So....I picked up a LG 50PG20-ua Plasma TV (Someone's throwaway pickup) First power up no picture or sound

                          Found power board to be bad and I repaired it. (Bad caps) Now all power volt readings are good. Still no picture or sound. I plugged in power cord, no click and the standby light on the on/off button comes on blue as soon as it is plugged in and does not turn off when button is push. I then pulled the main board off to look at it better and the initial inspection (front and back) I cannot see anything bad. Before I put the board back                          ...

                          TCL 55S401 Backlights, no image, responds to buttons

                          So this TCL 55S401 I got today has backlights, no image on screen but responds with audible clicks when I press the buttons. I tried another t-con but no change in status.

                          When I detach the FFCs one at a time from the T-CON to the Source Driver Boards I expect that side of the screen would be white, but when I do this both sides remain black (or blue with the backlights) with either FFC detached.

                          The t-con has 12v going to it and the processor is very warm to the touch in short order, but the processor on the Main Board seems cool/ambient temperature.

                          UPS turned off one night and it seemed that the 3 year old batteries gave out.

                          Replaced with a new pair, but the UPS software claimed the battery voltage was only 18 volts and needed to charge. After 24 hours, the UPS claimed only 60% charge and 20 volts (although FWIW, my meter sees 27v).

                          ...then I found various Cyberpower threads here with some guidance on what to check.

                          C1 (22uF) tested at 2, so I replaced that.

                          Put it all back together and didn't see a change on the reported battery voltage. Although, I did run the quick battery diagnostic...

                          Greetings,

                          So I have acquired this Zbook fury 15 G7 (model 298B3AV with i5-10400H ) off Ebay, seller claimed it have a T2000 but suprise, the GPU port is wide empty so I am trying to upgrade it with one.

                          I got a second-hand T1000 daughter board which is claimed to be working, and I made sure everything were in order including other part I were supposed to install along with it, but the laptop can't detect the GPU and it's not even showing up in BIOS/Device manager.

                          I am not sure for this model if I can just slot in a GPU and it would straight up works, while...

                          This tv has no backlight, no screen image. But the power button blinks on and off normally and responds to remote control commands for on off and blinks for other commands

                          I plugged in my roku stick and eventually got sound

                          Driver leds are lit. No visible bad caps but are samwha. Board browned a bit on four resistors (ive seen this common on samsung power boards, same group of resistors).

                          Voltages to main are all reading steady 13v...
