    hannspree hsg1075 strange display

    Ok.. trying with new thread,
    Has anyone ever seen this kind of problem?? Its on a Hannspree HSG1075..
    better yet does anyone have a clue as to what's causing it ??
    any help is appreciated.. If I'm not in the right place to ask.. please advise..

    You are in the right place. That looks like a cracked panel.

      Looks like impact damage on far right hand corner, perhaps it's been dropped.

        never been dropped... can see no physical damage.. the distortion you see in the photos first appeared as a small wave (about a quarter inch) on the bottom right, if I recall correctly. It slowly grew over a couple of months up the right side then spread across the bottom... to what's in the photos. 6 or 8 months ago I it opened it and looked for any obvious problems like swollen Caps etc.. could see nothing ... Not having much experience with LCD/LED sets, finding nothing probably doesn't mean much. Anyway, I replaced it with a new TV and put it in the attic to deal with later. Over the holidays I decided to have another look at it.. When turned on it had reverted to the relatively small distortion. but it only took about 10 days or so to grow to the size you see in the photo.... So you guys think this a problem with the LCD panel and not worth repairing ???
