    40" TCL TV with blue band

    L40FHDM12 has a blue horizontal band on the top and a white vertical bar, wide on the top and narrow on the bottom when there's no signal. Also, the white band drifts on the screen.

    The first image is when the TV is just turned on.
    The second image is when changing sources.
    The third through the sixth is comparisons of the source vs. the display where the source is connected through the HDMI.

    Would there be a chance of bad caps on the main board?

    Most likely, it's a bad LCD panel, as we've seen similar before caused by bad panels.
    Sorry it would not be economical to repair in most cases.

      Ok thanks, I was hoping to hear something other than bad LCD panel. E waste I guess.
