What kind of fault causes this image error?

    What kind of fault causes this image error?

    I took a look at a television for a friend, it has some serious image fault. I don't know what the cause is or if such a fault is even repairable.
    The T-con board seems to be integrated into the panel so looks even more annoying to work on than normal.

    What's the most likely cause of this problem, does anyone know?

      most likely tcon needs a reflashing of firmware..

          Interesting - that idea never crossed my mind.

          I assume the firmware files are rather hard to come by, however?

              The TV was stuck on the logo and I couldn't access the update menu.
              I couldn't find the firmware for the Hitachi 32HAE2351 and updated it with the Toshiba 32WA2063DG - Vestel 17MB171 firmware.
              The image result was good, but the image is inverted.
              The image rotation/mirror function doesn't exist in the Menu Server. I can't correct the image.
