    Re: Samsung PN42C430A1D - Clicking

I did a visual inspection and test each fuse on the xbuffer boards. All seemed to be in working order. No burn marks on the board either. I did notice a ribbon cable that has been burned up from my last attempt to fix the tv. This cable went from the control board (the one with the LED) to the xmain board. Im currently looking into acquiring a new cable.

I have the exact same problem with my Samsung. Did you work out your problem?
Va and Vs is ok with Y-main and X-main disconnected and 0V when connected.

I'd suggest reading through the thread to pick out tests for diagnosing your issue. The most common fault is a bad X-main or a bad Y-main.

I´ve red through the thread and many others. Done the test suggested and came to the conclusion that it´s either y-main, x-main or both. Been testing components on y-main but didnt find any shorts. Will do som more diagnostics later.

Just replaced the xmain ymain, psu(which I think was fine to begin with but just in case ) and ybuff. I also replaced the fried ribbon cable. Gonna try and boot up now and see what happens

I´ve done some testing now and have found some strange behaviors.
              Test1:
Ymain and ybuff is connected to PS but not to PSU.
              Xmain is disconnected from everything.
              Results:
PS=VA and VS are tested good. PSU=green diode blinks ok. (1s on 1s off). At Ymain VSC is tested good. VE at connector going to Xmain is tested 150V?!?! Should be 83V

              Test2:
Ymain is connected to PSU=the tv doesn´t start up. No VS or VA. Green diode on the PSU-board blink slowly (5s on, 5s off).

              Test3:
Ymain, ybuff, xmain all connected to PS and PSU.
              Result:
TV clicks three times then nothing. Red diode in front keeps blinking after the clicking stops.

              Any tips?
