Baird OR42BAFHD. Lights up but no Display

    Hi
Looking for some confirmation please. 42" Baird OR42BAFHD. Screen Lights up but takes about 20 seconds to do so displays the BAIRD logo then goes blank. Getting nothing on any of the inputs. I'm thinking I need a new T-con board but any advise would be great.
I have a multimeter and if anyone can tell me what to check and how to check it that would also be great.

I would doubt the T-con to be the cause. I would look immediately at the main board. Try checking voltage regulators on the main board. If you post a picture of it someone may be kind enough to highlight them for you.

That is a power supply board, not a main board. The main board has HDMI and other video inputs on it, usually.

Can someone tell me how important the version number is on the board. I can get a replacement main board for £15 on cv109h v 3.0 but mine is v 1.2 and seems to be £20 more expensive.

didn't have a chance to label it tonight & have an exam today so will look later; if you like Retiredcaps' guide may help:-

As for board version it's important that the panel in your TV matches the main board. Most budget TV main boards cannot change panel options. So if your TV has a Samsung panel you need to use a mainboard programmed with a Samsung panel setting. In most cases the seller should specify the panel number the panel was removed from. Failing that they may also spec the model # which is not always a guarantee of the panel being identical.

                Hi,
Did you ever fix this. I have the same TV with the same Problem.
It had 3 Bulged Caps that I have replaced and its still the same.
Can anyone point me in the right direction.

                Thanks

Probably failed flash memory for storing the TV firmware. Common issue. Will need new flash chip fitted.
