LG 55LM6200-TA country group/Area option

This is a 2012 LG TV so aware full functionality of the smart functions/apps will be limited however currently unable to get the LG Smart Store.

Youtube, Netflix and LG Smart store icons briefly appear in the apps list but then automatically disappear after doing 'Initialisation of Premium' via the standard menu, I'm guessing this is due to the Country/Area group its set to is wrong for the UK.

Unable to change the country group, Area option can be changed which alters the country group but none make any difference. So believe its the country group that needs changing.

Changing Location setting alters the area codes
0 - 1024
1- 3072
2 - 5120
3 - 7168
4 - 9216
5 - 11264
6 - 13312
7 - 15360

but the Country group remains the same regardless and can not be altered manually. Its stuck on Country group code 13, Group IL, even after doing a Factory reset via standard user menu although the area code has remained changed.

Using IR sensor to enter Service menu with In_Start and EZ_adjust audio files then standard remote to enter code 0413 and navigate service menu.

Tried doing Check update version via user menu but no update available, currently on 04.42.08

Looking at the main board there doesnt appear to be an eeprom i.c to swap, reset or rewrite.

at same way did you play In_STOP wave file followed with 0413?

not appearing to work, even tried turning the volume level up - the ir doesnt appear to blink when playing that file.

The instart and ezadjust work ok.

IN_STOP are hard reset.. to solve any problem with SW and apps,, so why you call it catastrophic and you don't know or use it till now .... strange.. !!

Sorry, didnt mean to doubt you, just read somewhere that it can change calibration settings etc which would screw up the picture settings.

Anyway, now have a working instop command which followed by 0413 password performs the factory reset. Unfortunately still unable to change the country group or area code and its still set to same as above.

after in_stop did you try yours youtube.... this was the reason to use... not change area code

Discovered the following:
From user menu, smart tv setting and smart tv country set to Others(Auto) and then doing an 'Initialisation of Premium' under Support menu option the Youtube and Netflix and Lg Smart World icons show briefly on the Smart screen but then disappear automatically.

Now, if I change smart tv country to Israel(manual), Lg Smart World appears on the Smart screen but no youtube in the store.
