Any liquid applied to screen and allowed to run down between case and screen can creep onto the tabs and cause issues....
Makers used to have the tabs at the top--but they used to fail because of the heat I guess, so they often now shove 'em at the bottom....
With say, 20V on those tabs and COF chips, bit of moisture--and there you go, IF the chip doesnt fail--the almost microscopic conductors do....
No way to fix 'em.
Every LED set Ive seen has had a cracked LCD, they are just so thin and the case doesnt provide any rigidity, a little rough handling and its curtains....
HATE Em! LED TVs in my book, = overpriced unrepairable rubbish
