The problem with this TV is that it is clicking ON and OFF. Have checked all the voltages and the only one not correct is the Vscan, which starts at -70volt at switch on, the goes to approximately -110volts, any ideas.

No Images, screen came on with a broad band across the screen on the bottom half of the screen and the top was coloured noise. after leaving it on for a few minutes there appears to be a smell of some thing getting hot, so switched it off.Comment

have just checked for anything getting hot, the only thing that was warm was the top heat sink on the bottom buffer board, all the others felt cold.Comment

The top and bottom buffer boards are connected together in the middle, is it okay to disconnect them.Comment

I disconnected the top buffer board, but no change.Got some voltage on the buffer board, but didnt know what should be there on the capaitors, checked the plugs and sockets for any shots but did not find anything.Comment

just checked the circuit and found the pot for adjusting Vscan, have connected the DVM voltage was about -100v and could not adjust, so will need to continue checking.Comment

have just checked the LED on the logic board and when switched is going on and off. Does this help.Comment

I have no idea sorry but I have a feeling the Vscan is fine and you should look elsewhere,

Yes the screen lights up at switch ON have voltage on the buffer boards, checked on the capacitors and can hear a faint buzzing noise, have tried with the on bufferr but no better.Comment
