42PA30RQ Troubleshooting Dim Raster and Image

VSus, VA good. Logic Board, Y, X and buffers. Unit turns on with no problem sound working, logic board led blinks once every second. Not sure if panel is defective.

Have read through the forum still unable to find corrective action. Thanks in advanced to all.

Dim picture generally X_SUS faults.....

Check the waveform at the TP or the panel connector....

Have you tried running the test-pattern functions direct from the Control-Board?

I have ran the test pattern they are seen on the background very dim. Also checked LVDS cable for continuity.

In my opinion, parts for this particular TV should only be purchased from Shopjimmy or another reputable supplier. I say this because the majority of parts sold on Ebay really are not tested, and, in this particular model there is a high probability of a defective board damaging other boards.

Also, I checked Shopjimmy yesterday while working on same model and parts are same price or cheaper than current Ebay listings.

You are right I did get the boards from ebay. Now that was my mistake. I did check the boards for shorts and buffers as per video. Dont have schematic for the X board, are there any voltage checks and can make to verify output?

I have no problem ordering the board again. Is just I have invested time and a lot of effort on this unit. Would hate to have it scrap

I will order another X board and post results. It should take about 10 days. Any chances of short on the display. Thanks Tom

Tom I found this after removing front cover, is this repairable? I see small sparks when tv is initialized. Thanks...

It happens at this connection looks like corrosion, humidity. Initial spark only on this top connector which powera from main x board. All others look clean .
