Can someone let me know if the issue is with the mainboard?

    Thanks

Most likely the firmware has crashed.

Thanks for the reply. Does this mean I have to remove the existing one or is there a way to force the firmware update?

search the forum with Vizio E320-A1

you will find sources of the firmware which need to program the eeprom via programmer or by one ready programmed with yours panel ID

I have the mainboard out but am having difficulty removing the metal shield to get access to the eeprom. There are several tabs that go to the back of the motherboard. Do I heat them up with my solder iron or is there something else?

There is no need to remove the metal screen; this chip with firmware is not located in the screen.

Thank you so much and sorry for all of the noob questions. I have everything hooked up and backed up the firmware. When I try to apply the latest version I am getting an error that the "File size is larger than IC size"

What do you mean the latest version is an update file via usb? What is your spi flash number?
Post here your backup file and the file you are trying to record with.

I'm sorry if I am confusing things. Earlier I had interpreted that the firmware somehow became corrupted based off of my troubleshooting. So I want to apply the latest firmware to re-flash the corrupted firmware and looked on the Vizio site. The updated file is something like 380 megs compared to this 8 meg file on the existing IC. Would this resolve the issue? I am just not certain what my path on resolving this issue is. Attached is the dumped file from the IC.

                      Chipset is winbond 25Q64FVSIG 1213

                      Thanks

But 380 MB is for another model, where there may be nand or emmc with smart support, for your model you need to look for a dump, that is, look for a working backup of your model and write down your flash with it, here are some dumps I found, try writing them down, maybe it will work.

I was able to write the file but now the power LED isn't even coming on. When I try to verify the dump and the IC I am getting Verification error on address: 00002F38. Do I have the correct settings for the write SPI?

By the way, do I need to erase the IC each time I write to it?

Success! I found a video which mentioned to select off-protect, erase, write and verify for the writing of the file. Once I did that I had a picture and the TV is now working! Thank you so much for the assistance, one less thing in our landfill!

Also you are correct I was pulling the wrong firmware from the Vizio site. I just overlooked it. Apparently there isn't one available on their site, or at least with my serial number.
