I just got home with this set. According to the seller, it was his in-laws' TV and just quit working one day. He brought it home, took the back off, and checked the fuses and capacitors. When he saw nothing out of sorts, he buttoned it back up and decided to sell it. I bought it, loaded it in the van, brought it home, and plugged it in. It came right on and seems to be working fine.
To be honest, this kinda sucks. I'm going to open it up and look for bad solder joints or loose plugs. It seems that I've flexed something to get it to work again. The problem is, there's no way to know when the TV will quit again, which makes it difficult to sell.
Should I inspect anything else while I'm in there?
