No Power On Lexsor 32in (LC-32w18sd)

    Hi all,

I have a lexsor 32 lcd. It does not power up. I checked the input AC (240v) and also checked caps etc and they all seem fine. Measured the output on the PSU and it is all zero. Checked the buck converter IC's on the second board and they not giving any output either. Any ideas/suggestions please?

    Thanks

no stand by light. Is that the 5v buck converter chip (on another board)? i measured the volts on that chip and there is nothing there but i thought that may be because there is no power going in from main PSU board.

        Dear Ashok
        1. First Check the mains voltage is reaching the Power Supply Pins - Be careful while checking
        2. Check whether the SMPS transistor is working

your SMPS seems to be dead or 5v standby section is dead

Worth pointing out that the rocker switch (on/off switch) should also be checked, thats if it has one, I had a Lexsor sometime ago that had a faulty rocker switch(on/off switch).

            Thank you both
I've checked the mains voltage on board and it seems fine and this also proves that rocker switch is functioning properly. I am thinking of removing the buck converter chip (5v 3A) and put external supply and see if it works, if it does then i will buy the chips and replace them both.

I've found a similar PSU board on line but it is slightly different from mine. Mine is KAS200-5S241812X VER A2.1 whereas the one I've found is KAS200-5S242212X VER A2.31. I was wondering would this new PSU work and is it worth buying?

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

                by meraklinetx
Hello, I have an asus Z97-A motherboard and it doesn't start which was working properly before, the problem isn't related by ram, ram slots or psu (I changed all and nothing work), the exact problem is when you switch it on , it starts and after 1 seconds (no boot or display picture) it's off and then on cycle continuously until you power it off from psu also it's responding to the power switch for turning it off if you keep pressing it 3 or 4 seconds (power button pin has 3.3v) , also when you start it with eatx 12v socket connected this is happening (power cycle also all voltages are resetting...
