Samsung ps59d6900dk

We'll been waiting for another screen to pop up at work and now one has.

A Samsung psd6900dk I have just dragged it out the van and had a look at the serial number. I don't know the symptoms yet but suspect it was not turning on.

Does anyone have any links to service manuals or valuable info on this product so I can have a look before I start fault finding.

It's a 2011 panel, my bet would be cracked screen or bad panel before anything else. Plug 'er in and see what happens...

Well it's from a board room 2 side by side flush mounted in a feature wall. They were safe from knocks but from what I have read already that can mean nothing. Will drag her upstairs and fire her up later.

Just as an interesting note we had to replace both the screens with another brand (I forget at the moment it was a late one) and one of them the screen was heavily bowed in the centre from top to bottom. It's a warranty job but interesting. I will try to get a picture.

Looking back I recon we fitted/replaced with 2 x Sharp 60" led 3d tvs. Can't say we were that impressed from the start but we struggled to get something that fitted into the feature wall.

Ok initial observation.

First power up: Plugged in red standby light. Pressed power button. Screen flash and white sparkles. Screen went dark. No control. No led. Cannot turn off.

Reset power.

Second power up: red standby light. Pressed power. Screen flash. No sparkles. No led. Cannot turn off.

Yes led 2000 flashes once a second. Led 2001 doesn't.

Heard relays click on power up with remote

Screen flash

Y main makes a funny noise.

So is the lvds cable the one that goes to the main board (black cable).

Is this the test that should display the test patern?
