And yet another fine example of non replaceable simplicity. Considering the amount of cat pee in the control board I would clean it thoroughly with electronics cleaner spray and a brush and check the right side ribbon cable connections where it goes to the control board from the panel for corrosion. Also the pins inside the connectors on the control board for corrosion as well. Cat pee is extremely corrosive

ok will double check that but first i think its time to introduce my cat to my size 10s (uk)

Yes thats the one. It looks as if you have some corroded or burned contacts there. Whats tge contacta on the control board look like. Im thinking green.
