Samsung LNT4671FX/XAA Glitches when displaying graphics

So..apparently I spoke too soon about this LNT4671FX being fixed. I've been watching it for a couple of days and it's displaying weird behavior when there are graphics in TV programming or on DVD/BluRay menus. This TV came to me as non working so I have no idea if this is "normal" for this model. I can't get a picture of the behavior as it's very transient. Basically, if there are graphic overlays on the TV broadcast, such as scores in sports, or occasionally in commercials, or on DVD/BluRay menus, the display will partially mirror the graphic in an incomplete or flickering manner, or the entire screen will flicker. It actually looks like an interlace problem, but only on the graphics images.

BluRay playback of the movies themselves, and TV broadcasts are otherwise perfect. I didn't realize there was a problem at all with the TV till we looked at some special features of a BluRay.

Anyone have any idea what this might be?

Does this TV have 120Hz motion enhancement?

Yes it does Tom. Thanks for responding. It was set to LOW. I've shut it off now. Are there known issues with this early version of the Motion Plus?

It can often cause issues with static graphics, it is not usually a concern though.

Motion enhancement works by guessing the position of an object in between two frames. This means for example looking at a ball on screen and guessing that it will appear in a new space, but what if there's a menu or graphic in front of it? It doesn't really know what to do there and you get problems. This is usually avoided in the TV menus by disabling motion enhancement when the menus are active (either across the whole display or only where the menu is shown.) But it doesn't work for TV where it doesn't know the locations of the on screen graphics.

Generally, if you can live with the odd flicker from onscreen menus, leave it on, because people seem to like that feature (even though IMO it makes TV worse to watch.)

Well, leaving the AMP off, I still get occasional flickers and artifact on broadcast TV. Usually this happens in graphics laden screens like logos for companies etc. Seems to me it's having trouble with crappily done graphics. I do have an extra main board for this TV. Perhaps I'll try switching it out.

Just a quick follow up on this. It ended up being a main board problem. Something is wrong with the main video processing that caused image doubling. Hope this helps someone else.
