    Toshiba Plasma 42HP66 flickering and flashing

    Hi, I have a 42" plasma with video problems. It has sound, it turns on and off and responds to the remote and to input buttons on the set. The picture is very bad; it flashes and flickers and is distorted. I have the back off, as I hoped to find obviously bad components, but I do not see any. Suggestions, please?

    Looks like a bad Z-sustain board to me.

        I agree with Tom,bad z-sus board...Just fixed a HP tv with a bad Z-sus board,picture looked exactly like yours....
        Proud owner of dozens of broken TV's and many,many,many boards.

          I thought I could easily find directions for testing the board, but I have not had any luck. Could someone point me in the correct direction? Also, will it hurt anything to disconnect the board and turn the TV on?
