Man bricks Samsung LE32A336J1D, is unhappy

I'm trying to fix this Samsung 32" LCD TV (I've written about this before). The TV kept turning itself off after 30 seconds. To solve this problem I bought a replacement main board from eBay. When I installed it, the TV did stay on for longer than 30 seconds however the picture was not right- I think it was because it had the wrong panel programmed into it I opened the service menu and tried a few different panel types but couldn't find exactly the right one, I though I left it on one that looked kinda OK.

At that point I'd decided I'd had enough for that day, and that I would be better off opening the set again, getting the panel name off the back and working out what the right setting was rather than just guessing.

So I turned the TV back on the next day and now.... I'm getting this stuff (not my picture) http://static.daniweb.com/images/att...1/IMG_4006.jpg

The screen starts black and slowly these lines appear all over the screen.

    What I've tried:
    a) I've tried factory resetting the set by holding exit down for 20 seconds or so, pressing left than enter. I'm not sure this is working though- it seems to freeze, the power button no longer works and I have to remove the power.
    b) I've tried factory resetting the set via the service menu, but I'm doing it without being able to see the menu, although I think I had it.
    c) I've had a look at the connectors on the t-con since I moved the set between days, and I've reseated the connectors and tested the fuse- all good.

    Any tips?

How careful were you replacing the connectors on the main board?
Check for bent pins, properly seated connectors particularly between the T-Con and Main b/d.
Though sounds to me like you bought a dud replacement assuming the tv worked perfectly well, apart from switching off after 30 secs, before changing the main b/d.

Why did you change the main b/d when you suspected the T-Con?

Can you list board part no.'s.
