It does not indicate an error. No Samsung TVs use the power LED as an error code. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: samsung 59" plasma pn59d6500df
If what tom says it right (which it very much likely is) then the light flashing twice is just the set receiving power and then going into protection due to a fault.
Guessing by the post that you don't have this yet, ask a few more questions, or if its cheap enough buy it and lets have a look at the innards.
Also, Tom, if you can get to Hyde there is a 47" Baird, like the 2 I have here. Its on ebay and I have bidded on it, but if you want it then bid away as I can only bid so much.Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!

I'll probably let it pass. I'm not going to be able to sell a Baird for much. I'll check on eBay near me to see if one pops up. Seems like not too difficult to fix, but mediocre picture quality and performance. (Is it even 1080p?) Much prefer the 46" Panny plasma. Friend of mine has just won the same TV but 42", so expect to see a thread soon on that being fixed.

. Got my 18n50 today, just waiting for the thermal compound. Enough of stealing thread, sorry Cash.
Added, I have no problem with the pic quality, just the same as the sony I had. Just the sound quality thats bad
Get some pics up Cash, Plasma Tom can then help aswel as the others here.
Same as in Baird or Panny?Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!

Same as in a Panny. Fixed plenty of 40~42" (LCD) 1080p sets now, they aren't much special... I've done at least 10 I think.
He's got a 43" Pioneer (720p) so this is a decent upgrade.Last edited by tom66; 02-26-2013, 08:51 PM.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: samsung 59" plasma pn59d6500df
Seller actually sold me a 32" sony that wasnt tampered with and was easy fix last week. He had ths 59" plasma listed for 200 with the 2 light error about 3 days ago, then relisted it today for $400, and now it turns on... But now the set for $400 has 3 black lines throught he screen , 2 are fairly close and the third is 6 inches away. Any chance of a buffer or driver problem causing that? Not sure how many a 1080p plasma has, and if 6" is close enough together on a 59" plasma to just be 1 bad driver / or buffer chip.
Obviously im not interested in fixing it if hes wanting $400, (although it is a very exsp set), but im sure i could negotiate down from there / or just offer to fix it for a fee.Last edited by cashkennedy; 02-26-2013, 09:09 PM.Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.
