    That's an interesting project.
I have a collection of older video cameras and would like to find some use for the parts like that.
I can't help with your answer but would like to know what you end up with.

Re: Help identifying conector in a LCD video camera

There seems to be no info on most of the large ICs.
      5V6 is a 5.6V power supply.
+B (LCD) should be around 7.1V, according to a measurement on one of the transistors via an inductor on this line.
LCD NOR/_HI has something to do with the backlight intensity control.
LCD-VIDEO is Composite Video Input, or possibly Y (Luma).
LCD-C is most likely to be C (Chroma).
/HD is Sync for the Character Generator (not likely to be useful for your application).
With LCD-HOLD and ADDV+SQ, try connecting them to GND or +5V via a 1K resistor (in 4 possible combinations), and note your results.
/LCD_REVERSE and SP. VOL are of no use for your application.

      Good luck!

I have also adapted a third-party PSOne LCD (RGB type) to a TV tuner box for computer monitors (the PAL 15.625 kHz RGB and Sync signals were fairly easy to find!)
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
