Philips 40PFL3706/F7 - No power

Hi,

I am new to this forum so please excuse any newbie questions, I will learn :-)

I have a Philips 40PFL3706 F7 that will not power on. The power supply board is a BA17P5F0103 1. I wanted to just buy a new PSU but I can't source one from anywhere. I did find a BA17P5F0103 2 and the supplier stated it would work. I just recieved it and I get power but no picture I suspect this is due to the multiple connectors for the invertor boards on the rev 2 version.

So now I guess I need to get to the componant level and repair this thing (unless someone can find me a source to replace the board ).

My first question is where can I find a service manual, I googled it but didn't turn up anything. If I can't find that does anyone have any pointers on where to start blind?

My level of expertese is fair I used to be an electronics engineer at Motorola prior to switching to programming 20 years ago. So I need to refresh myself on everything I have forgotten .

Any help in getting me started would be greatly appreciated.

This appears to be a 2010 or 2011 model TV, and may still be under warranty. I have been unable to find a service manual or schematic for it from my usual sources.

The best way to start is to take several pictures of the TV. Each picture should be taken from directly over (or behind) the board (or TV). We want them to be as close to 2000 x 2000 pixels as possible without going over 2000 pixels in either dimension. Sharp focus and well lit are important. Ideally we will be able to read component identifiers; if we can read part numbers on ICs it would be fantastic. Attach them using 'Manage Attachments' - below the text entry area.

The first picture should show the entire back of the TV. The second should show the entire power supply. If any identifiers are shown for the output connectors of the power supply, a third picture showing them should be included.
