    case sizes

    Is there a case code when ordering a capacitor that lays flat on the board like this one?A regular one won't fit it would be too tall.I can't get them to send the right kind its always a regular standard one they send.I wish it was this easy to send them a pic.Please help

    That's a normal radial, through hole, leaded (not snap in) capacitor.
    You just bend the legs.

      I don't get it...

      New capacitors come with long wires so it wouldn't be that hard for you to bend the wires and lay the capacitor flat on the board:



      some also use heat shrink tubing or even simple plastic tubing to isolate one of the wires from the other but most of the time it's not required.

        It IS difficult to buy those caps with long leads. The solution is easy - solder two pieces of wire to the short legs on the capacitor. Cut the leads off the original cap and use them, if nothing else.
