    Samsung LN-S4692D no backlight

    Hi all and Thank you in advance for your time.

    Got this set in where it was dead with no power start at all. Replaced the power supply module and now the set will try to start but then the blue standby light flashes four times.

    I have not been able to find the fault codes for samsung..

    I did read that the power supply board needs to be pre programed? That was only in one post tho..

    Does anyone post on here the fault codes for these plasma, lcd, and other tvs for the respective manufacture?

      Summary for TL-DR readers:
      • Backlight is intermittent, may come on with TV boot or not. No flickering, never fails during TV on.
      • Have obtained Samsung schematic & service documents - Can upload if helpful.
      • Have read ALL applicable threads
      • C1818 and CP820 replaced as low hanging fruit
      • CN802 data taken for normal and failed BL operation. SUMMARY: Pin 2 - 5vDet = 3.52 @normal, 0.0 @BL fail. Pin 6 - EPWM = 1.631 @normal, 1.058 @BL fail.

      Hello everyone,
      Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
      The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
      He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
      I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
      Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

      Symptom is dim backlight - this set came in with almost no backlight.

      Samsung UN55JU6500FX2A

      1 - Replaced all backlight LED strips (set had lots of hours at level 20 backlight)
      2 - Changed out what appeared to be a bad Q9102C on BN44-00807E - not shorted or burned but appeared to be open. I was able to read (with difficulty) the part number - however I may have misread it - Can someone confirm that this is indeed an AOD9N40.

      Backlight improved significantly - about like it would be set to a level 3 or 4. Setting all the way to 20 seems to...

      Samsung UN55H8000 sound but no backlight no video

      Hi all,

      Ok so I have this beautiful un55h8000 samsung tv with sound but no video nor backlight. When turning the set on the red light blinks 5 times.

      The screen shows no damage and backlight turns on when I disconnect the power supply from the main board. The tcon board only has 2 out of 3 leds on.
