Toshiba Regza 37wlt68 standby problems

a customer has sent in this tv, now i kow there are alot of problems with these models - not coming out of standby.

on testing - the red standby light is on, but doesnt respond to remote or side buttons, i know a bad connection on the main hdmi board (ic420) can cause these symptoms.

i have 2 other main boards, which i thought was in fully working order, on testing these - i came across the same problem, however if i unplug the set at the mains a few times, it will power up and stay on endless.

so my question is - her orignal main board is faulty, my 2 boards are working but is there another problem elsewhere? maybe power supply? would a faulty power supply cause this problem?

I recently fixed a 32" of this model by changing the SMD regulator MP2105DJ on the main board.

Aha. Now I just read that you already tried IC420... being too fast to reply!
