Convert HDMI to FFC

Working on a project that involves a device connecting to a small screen via HDMI. The space I am trying to cram it all in is pretty compact. Removing the HDMI port from the screen and replacing with something flatter such as an ffc would be ideal. Would that work?

yes ... same way the Chinese cheap LCD projector, you can win parts all what you need to convert this for yours project.
