Samsung PN51D6500 turning off and on

Hi,

I have a Samsung PN51D6500 and like last year every once in awhile it would do this on/off every like 10 mins or so. Was able to keep the tv off and wouldn't come back for a long time. Just recently it is doing it much more often. Turns off and on every 5-10 minutes while watching the tv. Any ideas?

I have a little experience fixing a tv but not all that much. I replaced the LED backlights on a previous tv when the screen went blank.

as this is a plasma display check the power supply for dry solder joints (usually on the parts mounted to heatsinks) usually just re soldering these will solve the on and off issue
