KOGAN - KALED58RT9220SVA - Image flickering when in Energy Saving mode

    Hi All

I have a KOGAN 58' LCD Panel that 'flickers / pulsates' when in energy saving mode.
I've reset the unit to factory default & rerun the initial setup but no change.

IF I choose any other mode, example: Standard, flickering disappears.

I've downloaded the most recent FW for this model from Kogan's website & re-flashed. This initiated a full wipe of the unit, which subsequently led to the setup all over again, however, the issue still remained - screen flickering but only when in 'energy saving' mode.

I've taken the unit apart, cleaned all connectors, re-inserted flex leads - issue still exists.
I've attached images & a video sample of the issue. I'm thinking it maybe a fw issue but unsure at this stage,

    Any suggestions for further analysis?

If the picture dosen't show any artifacts like image jumping up down, or different colors. If it looks like only the background flickers then its probably dying leds. The video that you provided is very short but im kinda confident that its a dying led.

        **UPDATE**

Okay - I've attached a video to demonstrate the effect I'm getting...

It seems this issue is not limited to 'energy saving' mode. The 'flickering' effect, takes precedence when altering the back-light setting to around 70-71%.

It just so happens that when choosing 'energy saving' mode, this mode by default rests on 70% but the effect also evident in other modes when varying the back-light to around 71%. At this level, the flickering starts however, choosing another setting, it seems fine.

Not sure what it could be.

Could it be a 'dying LED' as ducky29 suggests?

          **Another Nudge**

          Anyone with any further ideas?
My testing shows that this flickering (as per the video), is only present IF I set the back-light anywhere between 68-71%.

Any other setting above 71% or below 68% seems fine, no flicker, can watch for hours with perfect picture.
