Eltek Flat Pack S HE. How to regulate voltage?

    Hi!
I was in need of buying a high power 48v psu for a brushless motor driven pottery wheel project.
I needed around 20a, and everything I found was more expensive than I first thought.

I came across this unopened second hand Elteck Flat Pack S 48v 1800w for 80€. Had no clue about the brand, but was advertising 1800w 48v psu and looked pretty solid, so bought it. Was almost same price as a 20a lowest brand regular psu. (Afterwards looked for pricing, and they are pretty expensive).

The thing has arrived and I have now realised it's kind of a moldular system psu rectifier.

Found pinout and built some adaptors, all good.
The problem is that is a software regulated supply (from pc or another module), and it's actually giving 53vdc while I need 48v for my brushless motor controller.

I have seen a mod done in another serie of the same brand, just removing some resistors and installing a 50k pot, but It's just a different version and my electronics knowledge is far from reverse engineering this.

There are also mods where people builds a breakeout cable with an ic so they can control the voltage through CAN protocol.... so it seems ppl found a use for this kind of second hand psu's, but I have just found info on the Flatpack 2 series. Not the Flatpack S HE series....

Has anybody knowledge of this kind of psu? any workaround to get those 48v out?
    Thanks .

Re: Eltek Flat Pack S HE. How to regulate voltage?

    Hi:

Not sure if you have fixed already. In the past I have reduced from 12V to 9V a power supply by just changing a resistor.

You need to look for the voltage regulator in the PCB (TL431 or similar).

Kindly have a look at this video.........maybe it helps.

Ryobi 36V (aka 40V) 6Ah Faulty Battery Pack
      by brispuss
Purchased a Ryobi 36V 6Ah battery pack maybe just over a year ago.

Battery pack had been used on about 3 or 4 occasions for powering a cordless lawnmower. I was wanting to use this battery pack again recently, but on checking the battery charge state via the battery pack test button, there was no LED indication at all of charge state which suggested the pack was fully discharged.

I found this to be odd as I usually fully recharge battery packs shortly after use. So either the pack developed some sort of fault which completely discharged the pack cells (after recharging),...
