  • Re: How to fine control a brushless dc motor

    Thanks for your reply.

No, that doesn't seem to do the trick.
Really not an expert, but unsure if this is a regular analog input. The thing is that it has a really defined start/max rpm)stop voltages. Starts spinning at lowest rpm when 1,30v and maxes at 3,40v (600rpm), if 3,50v will stop.
Looking for a 0 to 250 rpm working range, so my voltage is between 1,35v and 1,60v aproximately.

I attached my laboratory supply and giving that voltage straight to the signal cable, no pots.... With the fine...

  • How to fine control a brushless dc motor

Hi, I'm building a pottery wheel for my wife.

Since it needs to reverse direction and have a nice control over rpm, I decided to pick a diy electric scooter motor.

It operates at 48v and comes with a controller.

It has three wires for speed control
    -5v
    -gnd
    -signal.

The problem is that if I use a 100k pot, motor starts spinning when 1.4v and will get to max revolutions at 3.4v. With this 2v range, the potentiometer is not really ideal, as it will change suddenly rpm with the slighlest touch.
    I need something...

  • Eltek Flat Pack S HE. How to regulate voltage?

    Hi!
I was in need of buying a high power 48v psu for a brushless motor driven pottery wheel project.
I needed around 20a, and everything I found was more expensive than I first thought.

I came across this unopened second hand Elteck Flat Pack S 48v 1800w for 80€. Had no clue about the brand, but was advertising 1800w 48v psu and looked pretty solid, so bought it. Was almost same price as a 20a lowest brand regular psu. (Afterwards looked for pricing, and they are pretty expensive).

The thing has arrived and I have now realised it's kind of a moldular...

  • Transistor from USB HUB

    Hi all!
Yesterday my usb hub started smoking after I pluged in a pad controller.... It has performed great for a couple of years.
There is a burnt smd transistor, but the code is unreadable. It's a Sot-23 package. I read somewhere that smd transistors starting with "A" are MOSFET.

    Don't know if P or N.
5v from usb goes straight to the single pin side, which might be Drain...
Only data i have is package, usb operation voltage.
No max current draw on the label.... it has 7 usb ports.

    Don't know about transistor specs....

  • Introduction. Greetings from Spain.

Hi all. I was looking for a good electronic repairs forum and this seems one of the best options when doing a search on internet....

My name is Ferran, 43 years old. I work in the entertainment industy.
Been flirting with electronics since I was a kid, but never got to study electronics or had time enought to get a deeper knowledge.

Did basic repairs for audio, cellullars... you name it! But with the feeling that I really don't know how it all works, which is frustrating... Just repairing based on visual...
