    Wrong polarity used on Linksys WRT-54g v2 router

    As the title suggested by Toasty says I plugged the wrong cord on my router and I am completely lost with this, you must know Im a total knoob in electronics, probably that's why I need lots of help and patience please guys!

    Ill ad some pics of board and close ups as needed!

    I don't know where to start!

        What test equipment do you have? Any experience?

        You need a DMM (digital multi-meter) or analog VOM(volt-ohm meter) at the least.

        The pics are -very- dark and I can't make out anything. Please try to post brighter clearer pics under incandescent lighting if possible.

        Primarily concerned with the area from the power jack and down to the 5 legged, black, square component (UC1?). Any components on the back side of board in that area?
