I have a leadman lp-8860 I have fixed up a bit using sub-par parts I have laying around. I am planning on using it as a power supply to mess around with things like electric motors and stuff. I thought it was dead, but i eventually got the thing to fire up after messing around with adding resistors for minimum loading. The resistors I am using come from a junked psu. All I can tell you is after messing around a bit I got the following configuration to work:
(I got these rating from reading the color codes,)
12v : 2 20ohm resistors
5v : 270ohm
3.3v : 15ohm
I don't know what the power rating on these are, so I was wondering what resistors should I use if I am probably going to use the 12v the most, leaving the 5v and 3.3v relatively unloaded. Any suggestions on the ideal resistance to use for the rails?
