I am going to try to get back to reading and posting here again on a regular basis or at least as much as I can. I have a few power supply projects I want to work on but I have a few other projects in front of those. I usually spend most of my spare time working on family and friend projects so that leaves little time for my own.
Yea I remember your awesome SMD version of everell's standby circuit and your experimentation with various different ICs. Back then I was a lot less knowledgeable about electronics but I have watched a lot of Youtube videos since then and familiarized myself with the terminologies of the industry so I feel like I should challenge myself one of these days and I have at least a couple of PSUs I can try this on.

I knew next to nothing about power supplies when I tried my first 5VSB mod, and I still have a whole lot to learn about them. Lucky for me, Everell's instructions were well written and easy to follow so I was successful from the get go. From there I began to experiment which taught me a lot.

I think anyone with an interest in power supplies should give this a try as it is very educational. Just remember to keep yourself safe when working with a live power supply. Besides the electricity issue, some mistakes can lead to parts self destructing, sending small fragments flying, so protect your eyes.
