Deltec PRA100 question

The PRA1000 can use two 12V 18A or four 6V 10A.

Its been too long since I pulled the batteries. Does anyone know if they should be series or parallel?

I know nothing about that UPS, but generally speaking two 12V batteries would be in series, not parallel. Unless they only designed the unit case to a certain form factor, there's no reason to use two batteries in parallel instead of one battery with over twice the capacity while using series on the other hand, is usually a more efficient boost to AC line voltage output.

I did make a diagram when I took it apart a couple of years ago....

It would make sense that the four sixes were in series for 24V.

I went ahead and tried the two twelves in series and it seems to work fine.
