    Sync Buck Regulators

The sync buck regulator (DC to DC) is widely used for low voltage, high current applications.
The following are photos of a CPU core multi-phase sync buck regulator:

    Dell 2007FPb with 4 buck step-down regulators
    by seweryn
I have monitor Dell 2007FPb. It was working good. Some day it was shut off and stay dead.
I checked some voltages on the boards. I read this thread:
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=335335
and very usefull budm posts ( thanks buddy, it was great work ... ).
My damage was typical: 3A fuse burned and ZD701 diode was shorten.
So my board is in few points different than other described in citing thread. On my board are 4 buck converter regulators. Apart regulators 3.3V (Q6), 5V (Q14), 12V (Q9), is ther fourth, build on MOSFET Q2. Two TL1451 has together...

ThinkPad W530 - faulty CPU regulators?
    by yuii
    Hello
I've got two W530 boards, one with K1000M and one with K2000M graphics card. The first one had an issue of turning off under heavy CPU load after about 30 minutes or in idle. GPU load wasn't causing it to shut down. Trying to turn it back on would only make the power LED to come up for about 2 seconds without fan spin or thinklight flash, and that's it. It also wasn't charging the battery after it died.
Gently pressing the laptop in left upper corner would fix this problem for a couple of days.
The latter is completely dead and has the same 2-second power blink, nevermind...

16IAH7H minor liquid damage around GPU buck. boardiew and schematic included.
    by GGEZ
Hi. I have a lenovo 16IAH7H (NM-E231) with a small amount of water spilled on the RT8816CGQWGPU buck converter. When powering on, keyboard lights up, fans will spin slowly. CPU and GPU are getting hot. No image. Not via HDMI either.

Part number is PU4001. The liquid spillage looked minor so I cleaned it up with some alcohol and cleaned ups some crusty joints with solder and flux.

BoardView and schematic is provided. The buck converter diagram is on PAGE 107.

I'm inquiring about any troubleshooting tips like probe points to measure and such. I can...

Sapphire HD 7850 OC - Detected but No Display
    by прямо
    Friends,

The card is missing a memory rail. Enable transistor is ok, but I'm only getting about 0.48V at the enable pin.
There's a compensation RC network on this pin and any of them could be the reason why the buck controller isn't working properly.

Can't tell for sure because my DMM can't measure caps, and I don't have ESR meter.
I also don't have a replacement for the buck controller, yet.

What I plan to do is temporarily inject 1.4V into the memory rail just to see if the card will at least display a picture.

    Now, this is where

PS4 CUH-2115B Slim All Controllers Do Not Sync By Bluetooth or USB
    by grimacelord
Hello. I have a PS4 Slim model number CUH-2115B that is having a problem with syncing any controller by USB and Bluetooth. Every controller I have tried will not sync, and I know that the controllers will sync fine to another PS4, so it's not a controller problem. I have tried 5 different USB cables and 3 different controllers and none of them sync to this PS4, but will on others.

The USB ports on the PS4 is delivering 5V power and does charge the controllers (I checked with an USB ammeter).

The controllers also do not work in Safe Mode. I understand that if they...
