    Black glue - conductive

This is a recently acquired Bestec ATX-250. Two pictures show a blob of glue used during the manufacturing process. The glue is in the red circle. Notice that the left half is black while the right half is brown. The brown side is due to heat and aging. The black colored glue is conductive. Black or dark colored glue is easy to spot, and a continuing problem if not removed. Black glue areas are often hard to take pictures of, but this one was right out in the open.

It's conductive because heat has probably caused it to carbonize.
