I'm trying to repair my board at the moment also.
My GPU is fine, it's the 603 chip and not the 602 chip that is a common source of failure.

My MAC startsup if I bypass the SMC.

Pragmatiko, does you computer starts if you bypass the SMC also?

This is how you startup with the SMC bypassed:
1- Remove Battery and PSU connector

2- press Power Button for 10 seconds

3- while keep pressing power button insert PSU connector

4- then continue pressing for another 10 seconds

my is dead. Have replaced GPU but still dead.
Also i have done your method and turn on without any imagine with a beep every 5 seconds

Update, if bypass SMC turn on and i can see screen .
That would be the smc is broken?

Well, at the end the no video problem was GPU. And no turn on problem was low level battery. Ilcacillo, thank you very much for your advice.
