Got hold of this HUAWEI MATEBOOK D14 (DAH98NMB8B0 REV: B HF) intel i5 with 8gb ram. My friend told me that she is using the unit for 2 hours, then sudden black screen, she plug the adapter hoping it's just battery issue, charge the unit for a while. nothing even charging light. charging adapter is ok.
SYMPTOMS: No power, no charging lite, no sign of life
WHAT I DID: open the unit, visual inspection, check for burnt components, looks clean, no burn or corroded components, When charging the unit i got 19volts at the charging pin. i notice a over heating component near EEPROM IC a regulator with ic code GAF suspecting for short circuit component. Measures 0.2 ohm and 0.4 ohm in the ceramic cap. try to inject 1 volt at 4amps at this short circuit cap hoping a capacitor shorts can show with no avail, processor is heating up. Need second opinion heheheh
