The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.
Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.
This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.

i'm looking for a schematic/boardview for an ASUS E3-PRO V5 (NOT E3 PRO GAMING, has a different layout).
I'm trying to find out where i can find SKTOCC# other than from the socket in order to ground it for a Coffee Lake mod. It must be somewhere near/around the SIO but I haven't found a datasheet for the NCT5539D this board has.
I've also found the schematic for the similarly named E3 PRO GAMING V5 but it has a different SIO so it's not of much help. And I don't trust myself to hold still a multimeter probe on top of a LGA socket pin to find where it comes out the...01-18-2025, 09:17 AM
