thanks, i found that on page 67 i have only input V+ 16V (this laptop has 16V adapter) but no output on that MAX1631 IC. I have some small voltages coming of but nothing above 1V

What are the voltages on pins 9,21,23 of U41?
What are the voltages on pins 52, 57, 59 of U61?

          On U41 pin 9 is 0V, pin 21 and 23 are oscilating from 0V to 0.2V
          On U61 pin 52 is 0V, pin 57 is 15,9V and pin59 is 0V

I think your problem is the Toshiba but better check it first.
                Check on U61 voltages on pins 1, 2, 55, 52, 54, 44, 58.

you mean this U42 (High Frequency Switch Mode Li-Ion Battery Charger)

Yes. It sends signal to enable U61 which sends signal to enable MAX.

hi, i replaced the U42 but laptop still wont start

i check U41 and U61 all voltages are still the same. I test this widouth pushing start button is this ok?

i this this is bad IC too, whyt did you think i have input (VCC, SYS+ and SYS-)

Maybe i have some solder bridge between pins, i this i should have some output from IC

                                      From the charger datasheet:

                                      "System Current Sense
An uncommitted differential amplifier is provided for additional
high side current sensing. This amplifier, AMP2, has a fixed gain
of 50 V/V from the SYS+ and SYS– pins to the analog output at
ISYS. ISYS has a 1 mA source capability to drive an external
load. The common-mode range of the input pins is from 4 V to
VCC. This amplifier is the only part of the ADP3806 that
remains active during shutdown. The power to this block is
derived from the bias current on the SYS+ and SYS– pins."

I use the same ADP3806 charger.

So it must have some output when laptop in stand by?
