Motherboard to inverter pinout schematic ?

    Hi,

I originally had a dead dual CCFL screen on my 17" VAIO laptop, so I had replaced it with a single CCFL screen that I had, which means a different inverter. I don't remember exactly how, but at the time, I had changed the seven pin connector of the wiring to a six pin connector, by just removing an unused wire. It worked perfectly for a year, but now the inverter has died :/

So I'm trying to repair it in a more "correct" way, as I now have several 7 pin single CCFL inverters, but it seems like the pinout is different on all of them.

I can't find any datasheet or schematic explaining what connection does what...anyone knows a good source for these ?

    Thanks !

Well you can start by identifying the inverters and see to what laptop they belong to. Once you have identified them and if you have the lcd cable for one them. You can get the schematic for the motherboard it belongs to, remove the tape from the cable (becareful don't cut the wires) then just follow the wires to the pins on the motherboard. You should now have an idea what each pin is for.
