by Neil OgdenMorning all,
This is my first post here, I've come across the forum whilst trying to learn.
I have a Macbook Air A1466 with logic board 820-00165.
It has developed a problem whereby it doesnt power up at times and when it eventually does, it doesn't operate as it should (crashing applications etc.)
I've now got it to the point where I turn it on, it shows user login page and when the bar is loading, it just reboots and does the same over and over again.
So, I did some basic troubleshooting, I tried to reset the Macbook to no avail.... -

Have this A1466 820-00165-A that owner wants to reinstall, but now it wont see nvme ssd. I find that Crucial NVMe that was in it with adapter show HW error when i try to initialize it in my USB adapter. I try to install system on another ssd, but diskutitlity, installer, or terminal dont see NVMe disc, only recovery and usb. i check basic 3.3V and it is present. actually it is second model that have this issue. what to check? -
by mferna14I am working MacBook Air A1466 (820-00165-A). The problem "DEAD". Inspection under the MS shows NO LIQUID spill & board is clean as ever. I see the green light on the Magesafe jack, but still not turning on. Getting 3.3v but NO 5 Volts. As soon as I remove the Flex cable J9500 & it runs perfectly, 3.3v & 5v perfect, display ok & boots up into OS very well with no sound ofcourse & no magsafe jack lights as the Flex cable is not connected. As soon as I put this Flex cable back in again into J9500, dead again, 5v goes away. I replaced the Magsafe/Audio board/USB board...
