it can only be deleted..for that you have to post the contents of the bios chip...post S/N, full name and model, motherboard model, product number, etc.

Hi wonderful people!
I need a full Bios dump for HP PROBOOK 640 G8 MOTHER BOARD NUMBER: DAOX8QMB8E0 REV:E
The machine have two Bios chips one is SPI ROM MAIN BIOS CHIP and the other one is secondary EC ROM BIOS chip. The EC ROM has one of its built-in pins is damaged, therefore I need both data for the chips.
BTW, I've a few other hp models needs to be reprogrammed, do you have any advice for what are the best SPI ROM, BIOS, EC, programmers to consider that do EC ROM and SPI BIOS chips between those three T48,T56 or RT809H/ RT809F?
I'd like also to share my experience with this issue, I'm afraid that I fried something in the motherboard or maybe the chips themselves. I've no success to connect or detect them to the CH341A programmer with a clip, and even after desoldering/soldering in the programmer adapter the chips won't be able to be connected or detected. Even before damaging the EC ROM chip, I resoldered it back to the laptop but the caps lock blinking 7 times with no boot, I don't know what went wrong although I was very careful with the heat and time etc.
I even covered the surrounding areas with heat tape. I'm very curious about what went wrong?
Note: The device was working fine before this process, it only has the BIOS administrator password. I can't read the chips so I have no copy of any data.
I appreciate your cooperation and efforts.

Hi there wondering if someone could provide some insite as to what im doing wrong.
hp probook 640 g8 laptop, works fine but password locked on bios so i cannot get into the bios settings. otherwise laptop works fine and boots windows.
i have managed to dump both chips the EC chip and the main bios chip. i had some issues with my programmer / probe setup but got there in the end.
the EC chip is a GD25b256dyig
the main bios chip is a MX25L25673GZ41
however my programmer doesnt have these chips exat numbers in the listed chips list. my programmer is a SP8-A programmer.
as stated i have managed to do some multiple dumps of both chips, but the EC chip came out as 16meg and the bios came out as 32meg. i ran the EC dump through unlocker and it successfully created an unlocked bin file. i flashed this back to the EC chip and booted the laptop, immediatley upon powerup the an error screen states that "HP endpoint security controller problem" blah blah blah. i can get past this screen and can now enter the bios however this error comes up every boot and i have obviously done something wrong. so what do i need to do to fix this?
another thing i have realised is that the EC dump is only 16mb and should be 32mb. i have taken 3 EC dumps and they are all 16mb and this is probably my fault. choosing the wrong IC. how do i fix this correctly if i dont have the original full 32mb EC dump?
many thanks. i have attached files as well.
files contains
ec backup 2 original
ec backup 2 unlocked (one i used with endpoint issue)
ec backup 3 (another unused dump)
main rom dump
2x images of bios chips
laptop serial number is SN 5CD138GPL4
many thanks for any helpsComment

I Fixed it!!!
I restored the partial (16mb) original firmware back to the EC using my old SP8-A programmer. i rebooted the laptop to confirm that it was working which it was. it powered up without the endpoint controller issue, however the password was back in place.
Then using a different programmer (T48 which ive just bought) i re-read the whole chip using the correct id in the new programmers software. this gave me a 32mb original still passworded dump of the EC. I opened this with hex editor, blanked the relevant parts. saved it and reprogrammed it using new programmer and this has now removed the password and the endpoint controller issue has gone away and not come back. Incidentally i programmed this in place without removing the chip using a pogo pin clip. only removed the battery whilst reading / writing. Also i only had to do the EC chip. not main bios.Comment
