Hello everyone, need help with a bios dump.
Laptop: Dell Latitude 5421
ST: HXRV7M3
MB: GDA40 LA-K921P Rev: 1.0 (A00)
Bios chip: XMC 25RH256CXIQ
Programmer: EasyPro EZP2023+

When starting the bios, the laptop asked for a password, I managed to find it, it was the combination 1234. But my problem was that all the options in the bios were blocked, which did not allow me to choose to boot from a flash drive or SSD. At startup, the laptop tries to connect to the Internet.


I did a dump of my bios (MyOriginalDamp.bin) and asked for help on one of the forums. They sent me an edited dump (damp-ex1.bin, damp-ex2.bin), I filled it in, but the laptop stopped turning on. After that, I tried to fill in its original dump, but it also does not turn on with it. There is no visual activity of the laptop, activity is observed on the bios data lines using an oscilloscope.

I tried cleaning the ME region for the original dump, but the reaction does not change. From the downloaded dump from this forum (DELL 5421 (Unlocked + Computrace)+ClenME.bin), there is visual activity, the coolers are running, the button and keyboard are lit, but there is no image.

I have already tried many different dump configurations for this laptop but nothing helps. I tried to configure the dump from the official website by unpacking it using the utility dell-pfs-extract.

Please help with the dump, maybe I'm doing something wrong. I would also be grateful if someone could tell me how to properly connect a post card for this laptop model to protect post codes.

You need a bios programming device (ex: CH341A programmer), backup the locked bios from the motherboard and then post it to the forum. Then someone will help you unlock it.
