    HP Elitebook 840 G5 W25Q256JV

Hi, I'm reaching out to seek help to unlock BIOS on my HP Elitebook 840 G5. The chip, as far as I'm concerned, and the one responsible for the BIOS password is the W25Q256JV. This is a 32MB chip. To my knowledge there are no 16MB chip on the board. If you happen to know otherwise, your comment on this is highly appriciated.

    Please see the attached dump:

Your effort and time is very much appriciated

    Thank you!

Vesko356, I found the chip and got a good read, a W25Q128JV, 16MB chip hiding on the back side of the board. They really do the effort in making it as struggle as it can be.

Here is the read without any modification, and hopefully the dump containing the lock.

Here is my attempt to remove the lock, I would love to get you input whether or not I succeeded in this attempt.

And preferrable I would like to see your version of the read without my mod.

Thanks again for you effort and time helping me making my computer fully functional.

It's OK. Go ahead, program 16MB chip only.
