                        Greetings

I need help, the winbond 25R256JVEN chip was incorrectly flashed via the ch341a programmer, the laptop is currently not turning on, it is dead, it could turn on before and was locked by the bios administrator. Where can I find the fw so that the laptop could turn on at all and then switch to 2580DVSIG to remove the psw.

The 2580DVSIG chip is for firmware, the password is not there, leave that alone.

Yes, I know that, but someone already screwed it up, can I fix it, return the 25R256JVEN to factory condition?

Check, using the schematic and boardview If the 25Q80 chip is for the thunderbolt firmware, if it is flash this https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...53#post3746753

when I connect the 25R256JVEN to the ch341a programmer, it just reads this to me, should that chip be 32kb and not 32mb

                                  EC dump request – Dell Latitude 5420, GDF40 LA-K491P Rev 3.0, MEC5107-LJ
                                  by mirjana
                                  Hello everyone,

I need the EC firmware dump for Dell Latitude 5420, motherboard GDF40 LA-K491P Rev 3.0 (A02).

The embedded controller is MEC5107-LJ (UE1).

The EC flash chip is W25Q80DV, 8Mbit (1MB).

I already have the 32MB BIOS dump (W25Q256JV), but my system is still not powering on — just amber blink. I suspect the EC firmware is missing or corrupted.

If anyone has this board and can share their EC dump from the 25Q80DV, I’d be very grateful.

                                  Thank you in advance!...
