You havn`t said if you have tried RCUnlocker or not. If you have it will fail as you selected the wrong type of chip to backup, you chose OTP (one time programmable) and it is not one of those. By choosing OTP it adds extra code to the backup, it should be 16,384KB but yours is 16,385KB, 1KB extra. Make another backup and don`t choose the OTP chip or delete the extra code with a hex editor, then try RCUnlocker again. If that doesn`t work use the older HP Unlocker softwareComment

I have another version of HPUnlocker, but after removing the laptop password, it works, but a message appears
there is aprblem with the hp endpoint security controller problem
Is the issue (HPUnlocker) the reason for the message appearing?

Just a thread to post clean VSS2 files/dumps in.A clean VSS2 file can, in some cases, fix
the infamous **"Endpoint Security" error message.
Be aware that if you use a clean VSS2 you may need to fill in missing DMI info using HP BCU !
I`ve included some clean files/dumps,offsets and a few scripts to autopatch a few models.
The offsets and file sizes are part of the naming convention i`ve used for the extracted
files.
hoaca388 has made an excellent guide how to extract the VSS2 file and edit/clean it up by
filling everything after... -
