Hello,
unfortunately, I got a Surface Pro 4 in on my desk, that has one of the UEFI bootloop issues, where it lights up and as soon as the Surface Logo appears, it shuts itself off in intervals of approx. 15 secs. This is all documented in Microsofts forums (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...fa0b1a5?page=8) but the support still rejects my requests as my devices is out of warranty.
I already read the following threads:
- https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=80011
- https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88765
with some parallels to the topic of mine. Thus, I already purchased a CH341a with a probe (so I don't need to desolder the chip) and extracted the UEFI (that is enclosed).
As the MEA - Tools currently won't work on my Win10 machine, I would like ask the experts, if pursuing the BIOS cleanup will enable me to fully bootup the Surface. Simply using other BIOS files will lead to bootup, but comes with the loss of the digitizer / touch as the described here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...691f507?page=1
If the cleanup will not suffice, what other way can be pursued by me to revive this marvelous piece of tech?
ps: If someone wants to help by doing the hard work, any help is appreciated
thanks
